If you’ve driven down Edwards Mill Road recently, you have no doubt seen the construction activity and big cranes. To get the full appreciation for the Bandwidth HQ site, I recommend taking a turn down Reedy Creek Road to view the site from the “back” side.

Progress

In the photos below, from last weekend, you can see they are making great progress on the facade and out-buildings. These photos were taken from the entrance road to Schenck Forest. I really like the roof monitor detail for allowing more natural light into the smaller buildings. From Edwards Mill Road you will also see the steel structure as well as the parking deck going up.

Whole Person Campus

The new Bandwidth HQ is shaping up to be quite the project. The campus – built on 40-acres of former State land – is replacing what was mostly a gravel parking lot for the Fair Grounds. 

Bandwidth seems to be taking the all-inclusive campus model for their employees, providing amenities for the “whole person”. Physical and familial wellbeing seem to be at the forefront of the design. The on-campus school is a great example of this. The only other office campus that I know of with a similar feature in the Triangle is SAS who has an on-campus daycare.
