Over the last several years there has been a flurry of activity in Downtown Cary. We have seen several multifamily projects, including for sale and for rent, redevelopment or retail, a new library, and a new park currently under construction. One thing that has not been seen until now is speculative office space. The Rogers project changes that.
The local office of Lee & Associates is entering the development side of the business in Downtown Cary with their new headquarters project. Lee & Associates, a full-service brokerage and property management firm, opened their Raleigh-Durham office in 2018.
This project is one of the largest (and most exciting) adaptive reuse and mixed-use developments happening in Raleigh. Phase 1 includes conversion of two existing buildings into office and retail and the construction of a new multifamily project.
The Platform is being built at the former Clancy & Theys headquarters office and yard located at 600 West Cabarrus Street.

When trying to photograph construction sites and buildings I am always battling the twin challenges of view angle and obstructions. The Pole-Cam mostly solves both of these challenges way more conveniently and cost effectively than using a drone.
If you’ve driven down Edwards Mill Road recently, you have no doubt seen the construction activity and big cranes. To get the full appreciation for the Bandwidth HQ site, I recommend taking a turn down Reedy Creek Road to view the site from the “back” side.
Walking through Downtown Raleigh on June 10th I was able to capture some images of the construction progress at 400H.
