Getting Engaged with Raleigh A/E/C Professional Organizations

If you are in the A/E/C industry one of the best investments you can make into your professional growth is to get involved in an industry or professional organization. This article includes a growing list of organizations covering all parts of the industry that you can join!

My best advice for folks who are looking to get involved is to go beyond merely joining an organization. Once you find an organization that you like, it’s best to get involved in a leadership capacity.

A leadership role could take the form of joining a committee or holding an elected position.  The majority of my professional engagement has been with ULI Triangle. I started off helping as a volunteer at events and in the last decade have held various membership and leadership roles in committees as well as helping plan programs and the ULI Carolinas Conference.

The list below includes organizations that are either focused on the Triangle or are state-wide. Where will you get engaged?
