Raleigh Top 5: Top 5 Playdate Spots
#1 Prairie Ridge Ecostation: One of the most magical playgrounds in Raleigh. It’s a great place for city folk like me to reconnect with nature with the family in an approachable way.
#2 Marbles: It’s a fan favorite. Plus they have a 4-week Kindergarten readiness program (sessions run monthly) where qualifying families can earn a free year-long membership!
#3 Richard B Harrison Library: The first library for Black Raleighites, it now houses the Mollie Hudson Lee collection of literature, articles, anthologies, and more on the Black experience. The library also has wonderful family programing, including bilingual story time and family movie nights.
#4 John Chavis Memorial Park: This park is full of history, but it is also family friendly and quiet. It’s a little oasis in the middle of downtown.
#5 The Walnut Creek Wetland Center: They have great indoor and outdoor activities for kids. And they provide everything you need to enjoy them, including rain boots for wading in the creek, all for free!
